Hmmm, how can I help?
You can help by:
- Attending the Live Auction May 2 and spreading the word through Facebook, MySpace, your blog, neighborhood listservs, and more.
- Donating items to the Live Auction – We are looking for services like landscaping or housecleaning related things, and also art, toys, and weekend getaways near by. (Other offers are welcome too!) Jodi and Owen Egerton will be our auctioneers, so you will get some love from the crowd. Contact Laura for details.
- Donating food to sell at events, or a portion of your business’s sales on a given day.
- Donating money – that is the goal of all of this anyway, to raise good old American $$. Just click on the “Donate Today” button (it’s over there, on the right) and make your donation by Paypal. You don’t have to have a Paypal account to contribute. The money goes straight to the family, no middlemen!*If you prefer to send a check, Vickie Howell has donated use of her PO box for this purpose. * Please note that the donations are not tax-deductible. To obtain non-profit status is a time-consuming process, and time is not something we have right now. All of the cash donated (except for 3% which Paypal takes for processing) goes directly to the family. This entire project is being run on a volunteer basis and on donations of good, services, and space.
