First, big props to Rachel Hobson, crafter extraordinare of Average Jane Crafter. She is coordinating the crafty end of our fundraiser, and she sent out a call to all the craft peeps today asking for their support.
WELL. Super Crafter Susan Beal of West Coast Crafty and author of Bead Simple (March, 2008) and Button It Up (March, 2009) REALLY stepped up to the plate. In addition to her very sweet post on her blog, she has announced that she will be donating ALL OF THE PROCEEDS from her Etsy shop to the Roy family! (That is Ike’s family, by the way.)

My heart goes out to Kari Anne, Steven, Sam and Georgia, and I am sending my love and best wishes. I have not talked about it much over here, but this has been a tough year and my own little baby, Pearl, has had some persistent medical problems . . . I can’t imagine how hard it must be for the Roy family as they face this crisis so bravely — I’m hoping that Ike’s treatments will be gentle, his recovery will be quick, and that they will be together at home again very soon!
